Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" Beta Delayed for A Day Because of Tech Issues

It is disappointing for fans to hear that open beta for Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" was not happening on the date it was originally scheduled. Fortunately Ubisoft Montreal was somehow able to fix the issues soon that the beta went live on Nov. 26

The beta for Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" was originally slated to begin on Nov. 25 and was supposed to run through Nov. 29, according to IGN. Moreover the publisher also announced that the beta would be open to players across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.

But a last minute announcement has disappointed many. In the game's official forums, the community manager wrote, "We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such we're postponing the Open Beta until a later time and keeping the game under Closed Beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements."

Later on the forums were updated, with the community manager saying, "Game sessions are not starting properly and we've encountered server issues, leading to failed connections. We've identified the root issue that was introduced after the Technical Test while fixing a separate aspect of the game. A fix is currently under test and will be deployed within the next few hours."

It was also mentioned that the issue was happening to all platforms but rest assured it would be fixed before Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" is launched.

But as promised, the publisher and the developers were able to fix the problem and the open beta went live on November 26, starting at 12pm EST. The forum now says, "We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps us improve. For everyone who hasn't been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding."

Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" launches on Dec 1 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
