Billy Mitchell Versus "The Regular Show": Judge Says the Plaintiff is Not "GBF"

Court has ruled in favor of Cartoon Network's The Regular Show.

Accroding to IGN, the judge has ruled against former Donkey Kong champion Billy Mitchell, who claims his likeness had been stolen by Cartoon Network's The Regular Show when it aired an episode showing a big bearded head known as "GBF" who cheats in an arcade game. GBF, mockingly known as 'Giant Bearded Face to the show's protagonists, actually stood for Garrett Bobby Ferguson.

So Billy Mitchell is reported to have been claiming that GBF is actually him metamorphosed and portrayed as evil. In the real world, Mitchell is known to have long dark hair and "bearded face".

According to Denver Post, New Jersey Federal District Judge Anne Thompson has tossed Billy Mitchell lawsuit saying, "The television character does not match the plaintiff in appearance: GBF appears as a non-human creature, a giant floating head with no body from outer space, while Plaintiff is a human being," Thompson wrote. "And when GBF loses his title, the character literally explodes, unlike Plaintiff."

Judge Thompson has also said that evidence presented doesn't prove Mitchell's claims. It was also said that Cartoon Network is protected by the First Amendment. She also noted that Mitchell isn't a "cartoonishly evil" floating head, because he is a human.

The 50-year-old star is from Hollywood, Florida. Billy Mitchell is record holder for various Golden Age arcade games such as "Donkey Kong" and "Pac-Man", in which he was the first ever to achieve perfect score. Because of his arcade games achievements, he is regarded as possibly "the greatest arcade game player of all time." He also owns Rickey's World Famous Restaurant chain in Hollywood, Florida and he sells a line of hot sauces known as "Rickey's World Famous Sauces."

The King of Kong lost this came this time. After all, Cartoon Network's "The Regular Show" is not an arcade video game.
