John Fogerty sells Beverly Hills home for $18.6 million

John Fogerty, the frontman of the sixties rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, has reportedly sold off his Beverly Hills estate for $18.6 million.

Fogerty purchased the place in 2009 for just $2.9 million. The 16,000-square-foot, single-family house was marketed in a pocket listing for $23 million. News of the home's unofficial listing came in July last year. The house has finally found a buyer after almost nine months, selling considerably under the initial asking price, reports Trulia.

Listing records of the home state that the renovated multi-winged mansion has nine bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Sitting on a 3-acre lot, the residence is set in a private, gated compound with a circular motor court boasting a central fountain.

The driveway leads to the entrance of a two-story foyer with a fireplace. There is a formal living room, a dining area and a wine room, a gourmet kitchen, a double-level family room, a media room, a wood-paneled library or study, a lounge on the second floor and a wet bar.

The home has a four-car garage, manicured lawns, a swimming pool with a spa, a children's playground, and an outdoor sitting area with a kitchen and barbecue features.

According to The Real Estalker, Fogerty owns a more modest 1,890-square-foot home in Beverly Hills that he bought for $1.3 million in 2008.

He also owns another large estate in the Thousand Oaks area that he purchased for $9 million in 2013. The estate has large stretches of irrigation fields and a 22,000-gallon cistern. It also has a huge main residence, a swimming pool, a spa, a 12-car garage and a private water well.

The main unit is a 13,053-square-foot home comprised of seven bedrooms, seven full and one half bathrooms, all done up in Mediterranean style. Inside, the home boasts high, cathedral-style beamed ceilings, light hardwood floors and large glass windows. Outside, a saltwater pool and fountains adorn the lawn.
