Celebrity Dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt's Miami Home Sold For $2.9 Million -- 8 Months After He Committed Suicide

Dr. Fedric Brandt's Miami home was sold for $2.9 million to an Argentenian couple just eight months after he committed suicide.

According to The Real Deal, celebrity dermatologist Dr. Fedric Brandt was also a researcher, lecturer, and even author. He was widely known for his Hollywood clientele including Madonna, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, and more.

The plastic surgeon committed suicide in the garage of his Coconut Grove home last April just this year. He hanged himself.

The three-story townhouse -- Brandt's estate -- was sold to Juan Carlos and Maria F. Boyadijan, a couple from Argentina from the listing agents Fabian Garcia Diaz and Allan Kleer of Fortune International Realty.

The said property is located at 3521 Bayshore Villas Drive and was listed around last month and a half ago for $3.35 million.

Miami-Dade County records stated that Brandt bought the 5,015-square-foot house for $712,000 in 1990.

The entire Miami home was redesigned by Jeffrey Thrasher and sits on a nearly 6,000-square-foot lot which includes an elevator, contemporary staircase and custom lighting and sound -- designed to showcase the extensive art collection owned by Dr. Fedric Brandt.

The Daily Mail UK disclosed that the Coconut Grove home owned by the renowned celebrity skin doctor has four bedrooms and five bathrooms with yoga studio and a custom-designed spiral staircase, situated in a gated community of Bayshore Villas.

Allan Kleer said to Miami Herald, "In these cases, if somebody asks why the seller is selling, we usually say they are deceased," he added, "But if people ask for details, I'm always honest." However, the Florida law inhibits the sellers to disclose homicides, suicides or deaths that occurred in the property they are selling.

"For some buyers it would be a deal-breaker. For others it doesn't matter."

The realtor lastly shared the purpose of the staircase. "The spiral staircase was custom-designed to show off the art as you walk up," Kleer said.
