'Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini' Specs, Review, Features: Budget Phone With 1 GB RAM, 5 MP Rear Camera, FM Radio

One of Samsung's expected device to arrive before the year ends is the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini". It is a lower midrange phone that is expected to be announced and released by December of this year. GSMarena released an unofficial preliminary specs for this device, and here is what we know about the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" so far:

"Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" Specs

The "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" is a dual sim enabled smartphone with a TFT capacitive display that is 4.3 inches in size and has a 480 x 800 pixel resolution or 217 pixels per inch density. It runs Android v5.1 Lollipop and it is powered by Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset with a quad core 1.5 GHz processor and Mali 400 MP2 GPU. For its memory, it only has 8 GB internal storage and 1 GB RAM. It does have a microSD slot for memory expansion, but its maximum capacity is yet to be confirmed. On the camera department, you won't really appreciate the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" if you are a constant picture taker and a selfie shooter, as the phone only has a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera.

"Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" Features

The phone has 3G as its strongest data connection and it also has the Wi Fi hotspot function. It also comes with your typical smartphone features such as MP3 and WAV ringtones as well as Bluetooth connections and GPS. Fortunately, this phone comes with an FM radio which may or may not compensate for its low end camera specs. The battery details for the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" is not yet confirmed, and so is its battery life. Hopefully this phone can last longer than the other lower midrange phones. As for the J1 Mini's colors, all we know right now is that it will be coming with multiple color variants, as to the specifics, we're gonna have to wait for the company's announcement about that.

"Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" Conclusions

Generally, if you are in the lookout for a second phone or an entry level one, the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" can work well. But if you want a primary phone to cater to your every smartphone demand, i.e. app usage, gaming, photography - the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" may fall short on the performance department. In fact, people have mixed opinions on this rumored phone as some may think that this phone's specs are too low, and VGA cameras should be stopped on smartphones once and for all.

But if you're not a choosy person who only surfs the web and do light app usage, the "Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini" isn't so bad of an idea, especially that it might come at a very low price.
