'Human Torch' Michael B. Jordan Admits 'Fantastic Four' Was Not as Fantastic as He Wanted It to Be; Eyes 'Joker' Role in 'The Dark Knight'

In a recent interview, actor Michael B. Jordan who played 'The Human Torch' in the remake of  'Fantastic Four' admitted that the superhero movie is not as big as how he expected it to be.

After the disappointing reviews and poor reception, Fox discreetly scrapped the supposed sequel of the Marvel flick, and the actor knew that the movie had it coming, and so he is ready to let go of the role.

Jordan has accepted the fact that sometimes things do not turn out the way you want them to, even if you give your best shot. Jordan explained to The News, "That project is one of the those things, you've got to accept sometimes that you can give 110% and still not turn out the way you want it. Some things are just out of your control, they're bigger than me."

According to the NY Daily, the reboot of the comic series created by Stan Lee only made $56.1 million locally, with a thousand bad reviews and backlashes on the side. The movie was said to have the quality of special effects lower than that of superhero TV shows, accompanied by a poorly written script.

Despite not having a 'fantastic' shot at his first superhero movie, Jordan says he is not giving up on his dream of playing another character from a comic series. "I'm a comic book guy, I grew up reading comics and graphic novels and being fans of those worlds," he recalls.

When asked which superhero character he wants to portray next, he said he would rather play the bad guy for a change. He has set his eyes on Heath Ledger's role in 'The Dark Knight.'

Jordan shares, "I want to play a villain so bad, just a villain. I've been playing the good guys, and that's cool, but just to play a villain that's so opposite of who I am."

The 28-year-old actor is currently promoting his new movie 'Creed,' where he plays a boxer mentored by the legendary Rocky Balboa.
