Talks about the engagement between the two speculated last Aug. as Hunnam shared that McNelis, who is a jewelry designer has made him a ring. The actor even gushed over the thought and was surprised from the present of his girlfriend.
"She told me she was making me a diamond-encrusted ring - she's a jewelry designer, not an actor - and I was like, 'Uh oh. This is not going to go well for me.' But I love it. It's so discreet and beautiful." according to his interview with Inquisitr.
Meanwhile, McNelis shared some details about her relationship with the "Pacific Rim" actor in her recent interview with Taylor Magazine. The jewelry designer said important notes that made her relationship with the actor stronger over the years.
"I think the key to maintaining a good balance is creating a safe space within the relationship for both partners in which to grow and evolve," McNelis said in her interview from the magazine. "It's very important to be present and participate in each other's experiences so that falling in love doesn't happen just once, it continues to happen over and over."
Although the "Pacific Rim" actor always kept his relationship with McNelis discreet, he also admits from his past interview that both of them understand each other and he even respects her decisions to share some things about their relationship to the media.
"She is required to share certain parts of me with the world that she wouldn't necessarily choose to do, but we have a great relationship and she loves me and wants to be with me and we've been together a long time now, and I think she understands and has come to terms with the fact that there are certain elements of me that she is going to have to share," Hunnam told Hollywood Life.
