NBA News: Steph Curry and Michael Jordan Comprison, According to Steve Nash

The Golden State is once again proving their title as the champion team last season through their current unblemished record, 13-0. Aside from the team effort, one would surely notice some changes on the plays of their star player point guard, Stephen Curry. With more shots coming from far distances, Curry is indeed taking his game to the next level.

The change with Curry's play and confidence was not left unnoticed by Steve Nash, the Warriors current player development consultant. Nash observed that Curry is more confident taking shots from a distant range, even right just after a pass.

However, this almost extra-ordinary performance of Stephen Curry would still not be comparable to Michael Jordan. Nash explained on an interview with Tim Kawakami via mercurynews that,

"I like the way you put it. I wouldn't compare him to Michael Jordan. I wouldn't compare anybody to Michael. But I would say Steph is turning into a historical category of his own, in a way." Nash then added that, "I think he's unlike anyone else. His ability to make shots and still handle the play-making duties is historic. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a player more skilled than him in the history of the game."

Indeed the Nash has chosen the rights words on how to answer a question regarding a comparison between a current player like Curry and an NBA legend like Michael Jordan. There would really be no exact formula to weigh whose best between the current and the former players, especially if both players have their own skill sets and separate role to play for their team.

Instead of comparing Curry to anyone, it would be best for all of us to consider him as a new breed in NBA, someone who is trying to set bars high and challenging other players in the process.  As Nash would say, "he's a unique figure in the history of the game."
