'Assassination Classroom' Season 2 New Teaser Goes Live, To Premiere In January; Live Adaptation Slated for 2016

"Assassination Classroom" is all set for its season 2 with a second teaser of the anime series already available online. The show is slated to premiere in January 2016.

"Assassination Classroom" anime series is inspired by the manga written by Yusei Matsui which has been published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Crunchyroll reports that the season 2 of "Assassination Classroom" anime series will still be based on the manga series. Seiji Kishi is directing the TV anime series with Lerche handling its animation.

Report says that the 15-second teaser commercial of "Assassination Classroom" season 2 features voice actor Mai Fuchigami. She will give life to the character of Nagisa Shiota. In the commercial, Nagisa Shiota is "describing the classroom's mission to assassinate the strange creature known as Koro-sensei that serves as their homeroom teacher."

According to Anime News Network, the teaser video of "Assassination Classroom" can be viewed in the official website of the anime series, and it has gone online since Tuesday.

ANN also noted that aside from Seiji Kishi, other main staff is returning to work with the director for the sequel. The character design is handled by Kazuaki Morita, while the script is still penned by Makoto Uezu.

Meanwhile, the "Assassination Classroom" second live-action film adaptation is set for release also in Spring 2016. Youth Health Mag says that the first live-action film, which was released on March 21 in Japan theaters, was far different from the anime and manga series. It was because the live-action movie adaptation lacked "cohesive plot."

A separate Youth Health Mag report on the "Assassination Classroom" live-action film states that this particular work of Yusei Matsui is "best left with its manga and anime series." Bluntly speaking, the movie did not give justice to the manga's characters and did not do well with their development.
