Explore Jerry Seinfeld’s reel life apartment in extreme detail with this Oculus rift virtual reality headset (VIDEO)

Jerry Seinfeld's Manhattan apartment was perhaps one of the most iconic locations in television history. It almost made us wish the apartment were real. However, for those of you who have always wanted to stroll and take a look into the cozy apartment, here is your chance.

Developer Gregory W. Miller has created a cartoon-like rendering of the Seinfeld apartment for the Oculus rift virtual reality headset using Unity, a game development ecosystem and Blender, a 3D modeling program. Titled 'Jerry's Place VR', the augmented reality has been designed with amazing detail and the authenticity has been preserved to the T.

For his non-profit, strictly-for-fans project, Miller scoured the internet for screen shots of the Seinfeld apartment. In order to retain the originality he re-watched several episodes and apparently also incorporated 11 special references in the final product.

"I found lots of good footage of the bathroom in the episode 'The Barber,' during the part that Newman enters Jerry's bathroom to find a hair sample. I feel like the main room and the bathroom are very well created, however I could only find one screen shot of Jerry's bedroom, at the end of 'The Chicken Roaster.' I used a blurry screen grab to texture the painting above his bed, and was able to recreate the bed, sheets and nightstands accurately," Miller writes on his website.

"Unfortunately, due to the dimensions of the apartment it seems like it would be impossible to actually fit the bedroom the way the show depicts it. It came out cramped, but I'm happy with it," he adds.

The program is available for free for both Windows and Mac OSX. However, it is only compatible with Oculus rift devices, which itself is not available commercially. It was basically started as a KickStarter project to enhance 3D gaming experience.

Oculus rift is only available for developers who intend on making software compatible on the device and the development kit costs about $300 each.

According to a Pad Mapper blog, the actual location of the Seinfeld apartment was 757 New Hampshire Boulevard, Los Angeles. However, in the sitcom the address is portrayed as 129 West 81st Street in New York City.

In more related Seinfeld news, show creator Larry David recently sold off his Pacific Palisades mansion for $12 million. Check out his cool pad, here.
