Kohei Horikoshi's Manga 'My Hero Academia' Inspires Nintendo 3DS Video Game and Arcade Card Game

"My Hero Academia" franchise has announced its Nintendo 3DS game. The latest issue of the Jump magazine has revealed that "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" will be available soon for Nintendo 3DS game.

"Boku No Hero Academia" is an original manga series created by Kohei Horikoshi. Since it has become so popular, it is not only adapted into an anime series but also a video game.

Siliconera has reported that "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" allows its players to use variety of "quirks." What is a quirk? The story is about a boy named Izuku Midoriya who wants to be a superhero. The problem is he has no superpowers. This is because he belongs to the very few people who are "quirkless."

So in "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" video game, players could make use of those Quirks, and the goal of this new Nintendo 3DS game is to "become the number one hero with the Quirk of your choice."

According to Siliconera, Bandai Namco Entertainment is publishing this upcoming Nintendo 3DS game. In fact, Bandai Namco is also holding "a costume contest for the protagonist Deku in the game."

Anime News Network said that Weekly Shonen Jump magazine also revealed in its 52nd issue that "My Hero Academia" manga will also have an arcade card game to be produced by Takara Tomy. The purpose of this game card is "to collect hero card and battle with them." ANN said that "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" will be a hero action game intended only for all Nintendo 3DS.

As of press time, Bandai Namco Entertainment has not disclosed the release date of "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" including the price of the video game. Announcement and updates might come through "My Hero Academia: Battle For All" official website and official Twitter account.
