Steve Martin Net Worth: Comic Actor Sells His St. Bart’s Mansion For $7.78M

Comedian Steve Martin is selling his mansion located at the Caribbean island of St. Barthelem for $7.78 million.

Martin bought the whole property in 2007, and the villa was originally sold for $11.24 million after he placed it on the market in 2013, a report from The Wall Street Journal said.

According to the report, Martin's real estate sits in a 3, 000-square-foot hilltop lot. The home features "two-tiered outdoor swimming pool overlooking the water and a covered outdoor dining area. In the garden, a colorful gazebo is surrounded by a lily pond."

Listing agent Christian Wattiau of Sibarth Real Estate, an exclusive affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, said that a Swiss couple recently bought Martin's villa at St. Barthelem, but he declined to disclose the final price and the identity of the new buyers. Wattaiau only described the buyers as a couple who "loved the location."

Martin's villa has four bedrooms, and it was said that the master suite has been installed with an "outdoor shower and a private terrace with a hot tub." Future residents of the villa will surely enjoy the panoramic views of the blue ocean since the house is located at the top of a hill. The living room, the kitchen and other rooms offer also a spectacular view of the Caribbean. Both the St. Martin and Anguilla islands can also be seen from the villa's yard, according to New York Post.

Martin, a comedian and an actor, has a net worth of $110 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

"In the 1970s, Martin performed comedy routines on national tours, before moving into acting in the 1980s. His first job was at Disneyland, where he perfected his skill at magic tricks, juggling, balloon animals, and banjo playing. He originally enrolled at California State University in Long Beach to major in Philosophy, but in 1967 transferred to UCLA to pursue theater. At age 21, Martin dropped out of college," the report said.
