Apple iPad Air 3 Release Moved in 2016 in Favor of iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro; A9X Chip, 2K Resolution with 3D Display Among Top Specs

The yearly conference of Apple has left the fans wondering because only the iPad Mini 4 and the iPad Pro were released. The latest iPad Air 3, however, was not mentioned at all. With that, there are some reports that are saying that the iPad Air 3 was dropped to highlight the iPad Pro.

According to IT Pro, there will be a much improved resolution of up to 2334 x 3112 pixels at about 401 ppi for the iPad Air 3. The 9.7-inch display size will be retained. More so, the battery size may also be reduced, in line with the new iPhone models. The iPad Air 3 will also be featuring a much slender chassis or maybe a much impressive IPX7 waterproofing certificate.

Based on a Latino Post report, the iPad Air 3 will be equipped with a 3D display with an awesome 2K resolution, plus a powerful A9X chipset. Camera-wise, the device is said to be armed with a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Last Sep. 9, 2015, the tech giant failed to reveal its new iPad Air 3, along with the iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4. However, it was not overlooked at all. This made the Apple fans assume that the tablet would not be unveiled this year, as reported by Yibada.

The idea that Apple is trying to avoid the upcoming iPad Air to serve as a rival of its new, larger and most powerful sibling, the iPad Pro, along with the smaller iPad Mini 4, is now considered as the company's main reason for postponing the release of the iPad Air 3 and moving it in 2016.

When it comes to the price, the entry level model for the iPad Air 3 would most probably start around £399 at launch. The latest iPad Air 3 is also said to have a different price tag. The speculated price might go slightly over £400 if the device's entry level jumps to 32GB.
