‘Terra Formars’ Season 2: Main Visual of Anime’s Sophomore Run Posted, Plus Main Staff Revealed; Movie Adaptation Photo Looks Goofy Rather Than Scary

"Terra Formars" anime series is gearing up for its season 2. As proof, a main visual of the anime's sophomore run has recently been posted. In addition, main staff and cast have been revealed too. The movie adaptation has news updates as well.

Crunchyroll reports that the news about the "Terra Formars" came out first in its official website as it posted the first main visual for season 2. This sci-fi action manga of Yu Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana has been first adapted as an anime last year.

"Terra Formars" season one debuted on September 2014 and ended on December that year with 13 episodes. The second season is slated for release on April 2016. Report says that "its first PV will be screened at the Jump Festa 2016 event to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture on December 19 and 20."

It is also reported that some main staff will not be on board for the second season of "Terra Formars," although all the voice actors will be returning to reprise their roles. Crunchyroll said that TYO Animation together with Liden Films will be joining this season as the anime's production team. But the director, series composition, character designer, music roles have been assumed by different people.

Anime News Network reports the roster of the new main staff of "Terra Formars" season 2. The roster has the names of Michio Fukuda as director, Cagetzu Aizawa as sub-character designer and teaming up with Atsushi Ikariya, Naruhisa Arakawa handles the series composition.

The manga "Terra Formars" is not only adapted into anime series but also into a live-action film. It has inspired director Takashi Miike to helm a movie of the same title. Director Miike is known for making live-action movies like "Ichi the Killer, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Yatterman, Tokyo Tribe, As the Gods Will, Crows, and others."

"Terra Formars" live-action film is slated for release in Japan on April 29. However, recent updates of the upcoming movie adaptation from Kotaku states that teaser photos that came out in the internet looks rather goofy than scary and gore. The cast of the movie are all well-known talented Japanese actors. So the online magazine thinks that what has been posted was meant for fun. The verdict has to wait until the movie will be shown on the big screen.
