'Arrow' and 'The Flash' Updates and Spoilers: 2-Episode Crossover Will Feature a 'Legendary Couple'

Team Flash and Team Arrow will join forces again for a 2-episode crossover special this December. And this time, they have a 'legendary couple' as their company.

Fans of the two DC spin-offs have been looking forward to another crossover episode, and their dream is finally just a few weeks away from coming true. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim posted the first photo of the Arrow-Flash team up on his Twitter with a very exciting caption, "This year¹s Arrow-Flash crossover is only 3 weeks away! #TheFlash #Arrow #LegendsOfTomorrow"

The photo includes Arrow's Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Diggle (David Ramsey), with The Flash Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). The photo also includes 'Legends of Tomorrow' couple Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).

The crossover will introduce the characters of another DC spinoff which will be launched on January, also on CW. According to moviepilot, the plot would involve the superheroes fighting the character Vandal Savage, an immortal supervillain who has been around since the Stone Age. Savage is rumored to be the major villain in the 'Legends of Tomorrow.'

Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle shares her thoughts on the crossovers to Comicbook, "We do talk about Legends as a Justice League of sorts. Sort of our version of it. It is, as you know from everything that's already been released, it's a group of superheroes, or 'Legends', so to speak, out there being heroes. It does have a different tone, though. One of the things that's really exciting about it having it come up in this universe, in this context, is how different it is from Flash and from Arrow. It has a very different feel, and the time travel element is completely new to both shows. It's really fun. It's turning out to be just really bad-ass."

The 'Arrow'-'The Flash' crossover episodes will air this December on CW.
