Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ Pied-a-Terre Hits the Market for $1.3 Million

A penthouse apartment in Richmond, Virginia, that ace director Steven Spielberg occupied during the filming of the 2012 history flick 'Lincoln' has hit the market for $1.3 million, according to several news reports.

The residence is a 2600 square feet place comprising of two bedrooms and two full and one half bathroom. Interiors feature beautiful hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer beautiful views of the city.

The penthouse is located atop one of the most coveted apartment buildings of Richmond. A private club, a state-of-the-art gym, 24/7 concierge service and security are some of the amenities offered by the building.

According to realtor.com, Richmond was decided to be the shooting spot for Lincoln after scouring various places. Apparently, parts of the Capitol Square and state Capitol, including the Executive Mansion, were used to film Capitol and White House interior scenes in the movie.

The movie received wide critical acclaim and was nominated for twelve academy awards. It also bagged the Oscar for Best actor in a leading role played by Daniel Day-Lewis. It grossed more than $275 million at the box office.
