‘General Hospital’ Cast & Spoilers: 1964 Cast Rachel Ames Returns; Anthony Montgomery Joins As New Doctor; Kimberly McCullough Back For Some Cool Stuff

Rachel Ames returns to the "General Hospital" and reprises her role as Audrey March Hardy. Anthony Montgomery joins the daytime soap as the town's new doctor, Dr. Andre Maddox.

For the first time since 2012, Rachel Ames will have some screen time on Oct. 30, according to Soaps Shows as reported in Soaps In Depth magazine. Over the past years, Audrey has been referred to as Elizabeth Webber's (Rebecca Herbst) "Gram" who's been looking after her children. Audrey appears just in time for Liz's wedding and spoilers tease that she has a sweet gift for her granddaughter and a heartfelt scene.

The 85-year-old actress debuted in "General Hospital" in 1964 and was in contract until 2002. She was then bumped to recurring status up to 2007 until her appearances wane, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.

In other news, Port Charles will welcome a new doctor to be portrayed by "Star Trek: Enterprise" actor Anthony Montgomery. According to We Love Soaps, Soap Opera Digest has revealed that Dr. Andre Maddox is a psychiatrist and he will take over Anna Devane's (Finola Hughes) case from Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). Anna has started seeing Kevin in relation to her guilt over Carlos' death. Viewers can take a glimpse of Dr. Maddox in "General Hospital" on Nov. 6.

Montgomery, who starred in popular shows such as "Single Ladies," "NCIS" and "Grey's Anatomy," played as Aaron in "General Hospital" for a couple of episodes in 2011.

Meanwhile, Kimberly McCullough is also making a comeback to GH as "Robin Scorpio" and Executive Producer Frank Valentini said that "cool stuff" are planned for her, Soap Opera Digest reported. He dished in a statement, "It's a race against time and a trio is formed in a desperate attempt to help save a life that hangs in the balance."

"It's really, really nice to come back. But it's also scary because every time I go back, they seem to [shoot] faster than they did before!" Kimberly shared, "I've done one episode so far and it was wonderful to be there; it always is."
