Stalker Found Living in Pool House of J.Lo’s Hamptons Estate

John Dubis, a 49-year-old retired fire-fighter from Rhode Island, who was allegedly living for a week in Jennifer Lopez's pool house in Southampton, New York,  has been arrested and charged with stalking, burglary, criminal contempt and possessing burglary tools.

The stalker who was spotted by workers on Aug.8 was living in the guest house of her $10 million Water Mill home without being noticed by Lopez's security guards in early August when the 44-year-old singer-actress was away.

According to the Southampton police, J.Lo has already issued a restraining order against Dubis.

According to the sources, Dubis slept on a couch and parked his car right in front of her security. When police reached her house to apprehend the stalker, he claimed to be her divorced husband and the father of her children.  He said that J.Lo had permitted him to stay in the pool house.

DeBorah Renee Brathwaite, chief court clerk said that Dubis is currently being held in the Suffolk County Jail on a $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at Southampton Justice Court on Aug. 28 He pleaded not guilty following his arrest.

"The court ordered an exam to determine if Dubis is fit to proceed in reference to the criminal charges," the police said.

Lopez purchased the eight-bedroom mansion in the Southampton hamlet of Water Mill in May. According to real estate agency Corcoran, the mansion is spread on 3 acres and has 7.5 bathrooms, a pool, guest house, a media room and sauna. It was listed for $9.995 million.
