Keyshawn Johnson Gives Calabasas Home a $2 Million Pricechopper; Now Asking for $8.5 Million

Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is really having a tough time selling his Calabasas, California home. The home has just received its latest price chopper and been listed for $8.5 million.

Johnson had first listed the home for $11.9 million in March 2011. In late 2011, the price of the home was reduced to $9.5 million. Failing to sell even after the listing was removed, it popped up in the market again in early 2012, asking for $10.99 million. The price was again dropped to $10.5 million in February 2013 and in the latest round of cost slashing, $2 million has been knocked off.

The home is a Richard Landry designed residence spread across 11,746 square feet. The double story home comprises of six bedrooms and seven full and two half bathrooms. The Mediterranean-style house features a grand foyer, a study/library, two formal living rooms and dining areas, a game room and a screening room. A spa and a modern fitness center are also part of the property.

Outside, the home features large lawns lined with fruit-bearing trees, a sunken basketball court, a barbecue center, a pool with a fit-in spa and a four car garage as well, reports Real Estalker.

Johnson has had a hard time maintaining the property as well. In 2009, the player was accused of not making timely payments toward his mortgage and building expenses. Gordon. S. Gibson Inc, a construction company, filed a lien on Johnson claiming that the player owns around $1,115,500 to the company in "supervision and construction" charges.

Johnson really must want to get rid of the home because the Calabasas neighborhood he lives in is plagued by a teenage trouble maker who is also a major pop heartthrob, Justin Bieber. The pop sensation pissed Johnson off when he sped his Ferrari just past the NFL player's kids. The Home Owner's Association of the neighborhood has already issued a letter against Bieber, reports Perezhilton.com.
