Apple's Recently Released iOS 9.0.2 is Not Yet the Solution

iOS 9.0.2 was released several weeks ago, which was supposed to clean up the issues with 9.0.1. However, this was not the case. Aside from not being able to fix the previous issues, it is apparent that new bugs have even developed with the update.

Currently, what has been known so far includes: a touchscreen issue, Game Center being stuck, application installation does not end, and a battery draining Facebook app.

Touchscreen Issues

The touchscreen issue is known to affect iPhones and iPads that were released before 2015. The iPad Mini 4, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 6S Plus are not affected.  This issue happens immediately once the update is installed. The touchscreen behaves as if the user is touching something on the screen.

Game Center Freezing Issue

The Game Center app fails to load once iOS 9.0.2 is applied, and this seems a major issue with Apple devices. A support thread on Apple's website has already logged in 300 replies to this particular issue alone, and based on these messages, the issue covers a wide range of devices. Even the newest iPhone 6S and the phablet size 6S Plus were not spared. Currently, users do not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Apple's solution is to roll back these affected devices to iOS 9 or iOS 8, according to a report by Forbes.

Stuck Up Installation

This issue pertains to applications being installed and stays being installed. The process does not complete and simply displays the "installing" label.

Facebook App Battery Drain Issue

This particular issue is not new at all and has been around for a time. The Facebook app runs in the background, even if the user has already closed the app. This scenario often times, results to faster battery consumption. It can consume up to 15 percent of the battery charge. A suggested solution, which is to disable the option to refresh the background apps, does not work at all, as reported by TechCrunch.
