With an estimated net worth of $3 billion, Oprah Winfrey is one of the most successful celebrity of all times. As per The Richest, the celebrity host earned her most over her net worth though television. In 2009, she was on the Forbes list of the Wealthiest Black American and she is also known as the only African American billionaire which was published in Forbes 2011 list of billionaires.

Aside from her television career, Oprah then made the headlines when she invested in "Weight Watchers." By doing so, she increased her net worth within just 24 hours.

As per The Celebrity Net Worth's report, in just a few hours after Oprah publicly announced that she would be investing in "Weight Watchers," its sales immediately increased. Oprah Winfrey invested and bought 10% of "Weight Watchers' total shares, the stock market value then significantly increased to 205% within just a few hours. This may sound surprising, but the stock made a higher increase of 30% the next morning.

Money maybe the least of Oprah's goal, during one of her statements, she made it clear that she supported the program as it was able to help her with her weight loss. She believed in the program which is why she shelled out money to make it grow.

"Weight Watchers has given me the tools to begin to make the lasting shift that I and so many of us who are struggling with weight have longed for. I believe in the program so much I decided to invest in the company and partner in its evolution."

By investing in "Weight Watchers," she bought 6.36 million shares in the company at roughly $7 per share in a total amount of $44 million outlay. With this being said, Oprah was able to double her money in just a few hours as she closed yesterday's sale with $14 per share. In a total of 24 hours, Oprah was able to profit around $72 million as the stocked jumped another 30% last Tuesday morning.
