"The Walking Dead" Season 6 premiered with a blast and while ratings are reportedly dropping low for the AMC series, it looks like fans will have something to look forward to this season. Will fan-favorite comic characters Dwight and Negan appear at the season finale episode of 'TWD?' And will the much-awaited romance between Carol and Daryl finally take place?

Warning: Spoilers ahead! Read on if you want to learn more about the details of this scoop.

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 may finally see the most highly anticipated romance for the most popular 'ship in the series - Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride). Carter Matt noted that many fans have been rooting for Daryl and Carol since day one, while others were rooting Daryl with Beth, Rick and even Aaron.

The outlet cited several reasons as to why the Daryl and Carol romance must take place in "TWD" season 6 and why it should not happen at all. First off, Carol and Daryl have this connection together. Whenever they are together, everything just seems easier and more exciting. Who would have thought you could find romance in the midst of killing zombies, right? Carol and Daryl also share similar experiences in the past, which makes their connection go even deeper.

The outlet, however, cited that actor Norman Reedus has previously expressed disinterest in seeing his character, Daryl, partnered with anyone in the show. This makes it even more exciting and mysterious, as several fans began speculating on Daryl's sexuality and personal interests.

While we have yet to see if "The Walking Dead" Season 6 will introduce the Daryl-Carol love team, HNGN noted on the possibility that fan-favorite characters from its comic counterpart will be introduced in the season finale.

According to the outlet, Dwight may soon be added to the series, which will pave the way for the introduction of the ultimate badass, Negan - the leader of the Saviors. The outlet cited, however, that if these two characters will be shown in the season finale, then it might also mean fans will have to say goodbye to Glenn (Steven Yeun) unless of course the show decides to change the storyline.
