"Teen Wolf" executive producer Jeff Davis recently admitted that a major character will be leaving the show in Season 5.
According to Venture Capital Post, the EP did not personally expect that the show will continue up to its current season. During the last New York Comic-Con panel event, Davis said that they thought that Season 5 would be the last for the show. However, it has been reported that MTV ordered 20 episodes when it renewed the show for Season 6.
Davis revealed the possibility of actor Dylan O'Brien, who plays the role of Stiles, leaving the show at some point, and with that, he teased that "Stydia" fans will have something to look forward to in the second part of Season 5. The EP said that Stiles will be saving Lydia (Holland Roden) from the horrors at the Eichen House since he is the only one in the pack who does not have supernatural powers. He revealed that there will be "epic" scenes between the two in episodes 16 and 17.
Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that things will get darker and scarier for the pack of Beacon Hills High School when "Teen Wolf" returns for the second part of Season 5 in January. Christian Today reports that during the panel event, Dylan Sprayberry, who plays the role of Liam, revealed that he will be discovering that his girlfriend Hayden (Victoria Moroles) is alive and is following Theo's (Christian Cody) orders.
In the last part of the season, Liam almost killed Scott (Tyler Posey) and saw his girlfriend die because of poisoning. Sprayberry said that Liam will be trying to rebuild himself in the second part of Season 5 and will vow to become better.
"Teen Wolf" Season 5 part 2 will return on MTV on January 5, 2016.
