In the new episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 2, Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) will do everything in her power to protect her family from a malicious scandal.

In episode 2 of "Madam Secretary," Elizabeth had to deal with political problems and issues at home. According to the recap by Celeb Dirty Laundry, Elizabeth was met with hostility when she tried to deal with the Russian government. The previous episode kicked off in Moscow, Russia. President Dalton (Keith Carradine) wanted to offer his condolences for the death of the President of Russia, and he tasked Elizabeth to go on his behalf.

At home, Elizabeth had to deal with her son Jason (Evan Roe) after he asked for permission to try out for the high school football team. Elizabeth was doubtful that he could do it and even argued with Henry (Tim Daly) that it could be dangerous for Jason. She also doesn't want Jason to be injured before he graduates high school. However, Henry believes that it is a good idea as he wants Jason to be involved in a team sport.
