Celebrity Real Estate: Former Mariners Manager Lloyd McClendon Selling Indiana Townhome

The large three-bedroom townhome of the former Seattle Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon in Charleston, IN is up for sale.

The former Pittsburgh Pirates skipper was hired by Mariners to lead the team back to respectability. However, after a disappointing 2015 season, McClendon was fired just after two seasons.

According to Realtor, the open-layout home of the feisty manager is listed for $324,500, with a price drop after five months on the market. The property offers "lots of natural light," says listing agent Katie Phillips of McColly Real Estate. The spacious room of the house features a wall of windows that stretches from the floor to the vaulted ceiling which brings in the sun and overlooks the natural wetlands behind the house.

The master suite has a built-in entertainment center and en-suite bathroom.

The 3,183-square-foot residence may look small from the outside, but the exterior of the house is deceptive. "From the front, you don't have any idea it opens up as beautifully as it does," says Phillips.

The townhome of Lloyd McClendon in Mission Hills section of Sand Creek Country Club community showcases an abundance of architectural details from the custom wood fireplace and phenomenal granite to a two-story wall of windows, maple hardwood floors, and applied molding to the walls.

Realtor also added that the open layout with pillars, the home is perfect for entertaining. The massive master suite of the property features entertainment center, a walk-in closet, beautifully appointed bath with jetted tub, a separate shower, and dual vanities with granite tops.

The upper level of the house is completed with two additional bedrooms and full bath. The lower level features an office with built in desk and abundant shelves, spacious theater room plus record room, bath and storage. This fabulous home also features a deck and patio for outdoor enjoyment. Built in 1997, the two-story townhome of McClendon has a garage for two.
