MacBook Air 2016 Edition Release Rumors: Core i5, i7 Skylake Processor Combo will Provide Improved Performance, Longer Battery Life, Enhanced Graphics

MacBook Air 2016 will roll out in two varieties, the 13- and 15-inch, and will come with a thinner look with an updated keyboard. The upcoming device will also include Apple's Force Touch technology, and will feature the company's newest OSX, El Capitan.

With the release of a number of new and high-end laptops within the past couple weeks, Apple persisted to be quiet about its forthcoming laptops, particularly the much awaited 2016 edition of MacBook Air.

MacBook Air 2016's latest rumors, however, are saying that the Apple company's latest laptops will run on the i7 Skylake and Intel Core i5 processors. As per Intel, the latest and greatly enhanced processors will provide a 20 percent increase in performance, 30 percent extended battery life, and 41 percent enhancement in graphics.

Skylake processors that may come out with the MacBook Air 2016 edition are the 2.4 i5-6300U and 2.3 GHz i5-6200U chipsets, which would be fit for the low-end MacBook Air laptops. The high-end MacBook Air laptops will run on either 2.6 GHZ i7-6600U or 2.5 GHz i7-6600U processor, Mac Rumors reported.

MacBook Air 2016 fans and loyalists seem to have enduring patience, while other customers who are looking to buy new laptops are instead being drawn to purchasing other laptops that are currently available on the market.

Dell's XPS devices, along with Microsoft's Surface Pro devices are reported to be Apple's top rivals right now. The two companies both claimed that their hybrid devices and new laptops are higher in quality than their equivalents in the Apple devices.

Neuro Gadget recently reported that the grand launch of the upcoming MacBook Air, together with Apple's other laptops, may take place early next year, if not the end of this year.

MacBook Air 2016's rumored features and specs are said to come alive at a cost that could amount to $1,500.
