'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Premiere Spoilers: Watch Out for More Zombies

Last Friday, "The Walking Dead" cast and crew hosted a special screening of its season six premiere episode at the Madison Square Garden in New York. According to US News, the event was attended by lucky fans--all dressed like zombies--who won tickets from giveaways and raffle draws. After the screening, cast members gamely sat on a panel to talk about the exciting season six, which premieres tomorrow.

Here's a round-up of the spoilers you need to know before you catch the show's season premiere, straight from the cast and producers themselves:

1.  The zombies are back, in full force.

They didn't really leave, but overtime, the show has showed less zombies as the story has evolved to being about people trying to outlast other people. But in the upcoming season, expect the zombies' return, says actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes in the show.

"The zombies are very much back in the foreground," he said. "Emotionally, physically, everything is absolutely relentless. They're [the characters] dealing with the threats from all these different tribal factions that are trying to kill them. We're dealing with more and more zombies than ever before. It's just incredible."

2.  This will be "the most intense" season yet.

"Tonight, as your heart pounds, hands sweat and you clutch the hand of the person next to you... keep in mind that this is only the beginning of the most intense season yet," teased creator Robert Kirkman before the screening.

Lincoln seconded Kirkman's claim. According to IGN, the actor said that "this season is the most ambitious and biggest season" they've ever attempted.

"Each episode is like a season finale in scale, in ambition and in story-telling, and it's been thrilling because of that," the actor said. "I hope that the audience enjoys it because the crew have busted gut to bring you what I think is so far the biggest season to date. But yes, there are three or four brutal, terrifying threats, all either walker or human or internal struggle, all sort of adding to the drama of the show. It is incredibly dramatic this season."

3.  Negan "might" be introduced.

During an appearance at the New York Comic Con, Kirkman teased about the much-awaited Negan. According to Variety, the producer said, "I don't know when that'll happen. I mean, I do, but I can't tell you."

4.  Rick's role might be reversed.

According to Lincoln, with the numerous threats surrounding the Alexandria, his character is on the verge of becoming an "anti-hero."

"I think the moment that Rick chooses to do something that isn't about the safety of his family -- if he steps out of that intention and does something brutal and uncompromising for his own reasons -- then I think you start turning into the anti-hero," the actor told IGN. "I think it's an interesting area to explore, and we do go into it."

One more day before the biggest season of "The Walking Dead" finally premieres. It airs Sunday 9 p.m. on AMC.
