‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Spoilers: Show Creator and Cast Drop Hints on What Fans Can Expect

"Mr. Robot" creator and cast went on stage at the New York Comic Con on Friday and teased fans and attendees on what the show's second season has in store for them.

The creator of one of summer's blockbuster TV series "Mr. Robot" Sam Esmail joined the entire cast of the show at the New York Comic Con on Friday. Rami Malik, Carly Chaikin, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, and Martin Wallstrom were all present to answer questions about their characters and what they think will happen to the show as it moves on to its second season.

According to IGN, Esmail played coy as to what will happen in the continuation of "Mr. Robot." While he did share some hints, he was very careful not to spoil anything for the series that was dubbed as a breakout hit that earned high marks from critics and reviewers.

Slater who plays "Mr. Robot" in the show was asked whether his character will be back for the next season and he candidly answered that he is not sure since the contract he signed made no mention of him playing the role for multiple seasons. However, Esmail intervened much to the delight of the audience saying, "He's coming back."

The "Mr. Robot" creator also revealed that just like the first season, the next one will still have 10 episodes. In a report by Los Angeles Times, Esmail was asked to describe how he feels about working with USA. He called it "the perfect marriage" referring to the creative freedom given to him by the network. He pointed out that he had no previous experience working for television. He said without qualms that, "I had no business being a show runner."

It was also revealed that the character of "Mr. Robot" is actually Elliot's dead father in the form of a vision inside the show's hero's mind.
