‘America’s Next Top Model’ Cycle 22 Episode 10 Recap: Justin and Dustin Were Sent Home

"America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 Episode 10 picks up from last week's elimination. Despite being in the bottom of the list quite a couple of times, Devin was given another chance to go on. Justin, meanwhile, was sent home, much to the disappointment of Mame who cried upon reading Justin's letter to her.

Meanwhile, models packed for Las Vegas. Their new place is at SLS Las Vegas, in a huge penthouse, where welcome gifts from Tyra were waiting for them.

The Challenge

The hopeful models went to a VIP bar. They find there Miss J. and this week's special guest, Don Benjamin of ANTM Cycle 20. The challenge for this week is to get a great photo as they jump into the pool. And the catch is, they only have one shot. They have to use their face and body and props well to make the most of that one take. Mame's props was a large bag. Dustin's was top hat, while Devin got a mirror. Lacey got glasses and Nyle had a martini shaker.

Mame won the challenge and Don said the prize is a spa treatment. Mame was thrilled because it was her fourth challenge win. Dustin and Hadassah came in second and third, respectively. Nyle and Devin were the bottom two.

The Music Video

Tyra explained that the contestants are going to shoot a music video for her new product line, Tyra Beauty. It would be a direct selling business because Tyra wants to empower people. Hence, beautytainers serve as her sales people. The music video, directed by Tyra will be for the theme song "Bootyful" by Stori. Models had to lip sync the song so they needed to study the lyrics.

Each model got a role for the music video. Devin was a music artist, while Dustin was a party host. Hadassah was a customer and Lacey, an insecure girl. Mame was a beautytainer, Mikey a ladies man, and Nyle a bartender.

It was a challenge for Nyle to lip sync because he's deaf. Dustin, meanwhile, struggled because he was flirting with the extras instead of focusing on the lyrics. But during the shooting, he tried to give more energy which impressed Tyra. Mikey and Hadassah had a kissing scene, which resulted in Mikey being covered by lipstick. Models also had a runway scene, first done by Tyra and then they followed her.

The Verdict

The judges looked at their best takes from the music video. First up is Mame, who was too soft on the runway according to Tyra. Tyra and Kelly agreed that Mikey rocked it and he worked his hair. Miss J. said Devin's was fierce and Kelly said he brought a high fashion feel. Tyra, meanwhile, was in awe of Devin's hallway scene. Lacey's acting was spot on but had a weak runway walk. Miss J said Hadassah was too prim and proper and Tyra thought her kiss with Mikey was too much. Dustin's shot was weak at the start and it reflected a self-doubt. Nyle didn't skip a beat despite being deaf and Tyra liked that his signing was energetic.

After adding the scores from the challenge and the music video, Mikey got the best performance, followed by Devin. Lacey, Mame, and Nyle were in third, fourth and fifth places respectively. The bottom two were Hadassah and Dustin.

The judges were frustrated with Hadassah who seemed to be holding back. They wondered if she's for pageants only. She's safe for now but she needed to step up her game. Dustin, who just came back last week, was lost, according to Tyra. Tyra said his talent is hiding. He was sent home again.

The "Bootyful" music video was played at the end of the show.
