Yolanda Foster and Children Anwar and Bella Hadid, Suffer From Lyme Disease

At the Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Yolanda Foster was awarded the "Power Of One" in New York, an honor given to her for her advocacy in fighting Lyme disease.

According to US Weekly, during Yolanda's emotional speech she revealed that she was not alone in her battle with Lyme disease. Her two younger children Bella and Anwar have been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012.

Yolanda shared on her speech how things changed for her when she found out that her children are suffering the same tick-borne illness as well. Yolanda said, "God had different plans for me. He changed my destiny when my two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, were diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012. Watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me and my journey struck the deepest chord of hopelessness inside of me, and it's because of them that I'm motivated to stand here in front of you today."

According to Yahoo! New Zealand, Yolanda dedicated her award to Bella and Anwar. She said in her speech, "This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve."

She continued her heartfelt speech and said, "No child should suffer the way that you do ... I thank you both for your extraordinary selflessness during this journey. Your unwavering love and compassion has kept me alive and fighting through the darkest days of my life."

The 51-year-old television personality was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. When she received the award she was surrounded by her family and friends, as reported by PEOPLE.
