Huawei Mate S vs. Nexus 6P: Nexus 6P could be the More Affordable Alternative

Nexus 6P by the tech giant Google is expected to face up to the metal-bodied gadgets like Huawei Mate S. The reasonably priced device is working in favor of the Nexus 6P when compared against Huawei.

Design

On the appearance, there seems to be no competition between the two.

The metallic body of Mate S is slim, even and its rounded edges are perfectly synched. It also includes a fingerprint scanner and available in different colors like champagne, gold , and gray.

In comparison, Nexus 6P is made of aluminum, which gives it a touch of elegance. Its build is thick and heavy compare to Mate S. The camera lens on the back protrude on the back. Like Huawei's , it also has a fingerprint scanner and available in colors of white, silver and black.

Display

The AMOLED screen from Nexus 6P is bigger than its competitor with 5.7 inches, 1440 x2560 pixels and has 518 pixels per inch on density.

Mate S runs on 5.5 inch AMOLED display backed-up with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and 401 pixels per inch dense. The most expensive model of the Mate S includes a Force touch feature.

Specs

Huawei's flagship Mate S model runs on HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset and an octa-core CPU with four cores at 2.2 GHz and four clocked at 1.5 GHZ. It has Mali-T629 GPU.

Google's Nexus 6P meanwhile runs on the Qaulcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and also an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.55 GHz and four clocked at 2.0 Ghz aided by an Adreno 530 GPU.

Memory

Both device has 3 GB RAM. Nexus 6P has no external memory due to it lacking a memory slot. Mate S has 2 SIM slots that can hold up to 128 GB of external storage.

Price 

The Google Nexus 6P, which was manufactured by Huawei, has a $500 price tag unlocked, while the Huawei Mate S has a price tag of $650. 

Google Nexus 6P, which was made in partnership with Huawei, sells at $500 per piece already unlocked. Huawei's Mate S sells at a whopping $650 per item, leading to $150 difference between the two.
