Rumors between de Laurentiis and Flay began when both "Food Network" hosts seemingly announced their divorce from their respective partners, Todd Thompson and Stephanie March, just months apart. Divorce papers gathered from Flay's wife added fuel to the fire, as March alleged Flay to having an affair with several women, Master Herald reported.
De Laurentiis was also spotted having dinner with Flay on the night prior to her announcement of her divorce from Thompson, which makes more and more people believe that there is more to their relationship than meets the eye. In an earlier interview with Times Talks (via Youth Health Mag), Flay and de Laurentiis spoke about their relationship and revealed their first impressions of each other.
The two seemed comfortable and even goofed around about each other.
"Man she has a lot of teeth," Flay said of his first impression of de Laurentiis. The 50-year-old chef went on and asked de Laurentiis if she had more teeth than everyone else.
"I have a huge smile," she replied.
Flay went on and described de Laurentiis as someone who's "really confident, very pretty." de Laurentiis, on the other hand, spoke about the challenges she faced when she entered the world of being a celebrity chef.
