'Fifty Shades Darker' Spoilers: E.L. James Hints Filming Has Started, Shares Photo Of Niall Leonard & James Foley

"Fifty Shades of Grey" book author E.L. James recently hinted that the production and discussion for "Fifty Shades Darker" has already commenced. This week, James shared a photo of herself with husband Niall Leonard and "Fifty Shades Darker" director James Foley via her Instagram account.

"#FSD #FSF with James Foley @foleyfilm and Niall Leonard @noghar," she captioned the photo.

James' post also hinted that Foley and Leonard will collaborate in the third installment, "Fifty Shades Freed."

Meanwhile, the controversial book author also posted a photo of their meeting venue, which was held at the Comcast office at NBC Universal. During their meeting, James brought her own copy of "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." She also brought with her a notebook for her notes.

In other news, film producer Dana Brunetti recently slammed rumors that Henry Cavill has been tapped to play Jack Hyde in "Fifty Shades Darker. During an interview with E! News, he added that they have not yet chosen a casting director, let alone new cast members for the film.

"We're nowhere near casting. We haven't gotten into anything like that. We don't even have a casting director on it yet," he said.

At that time, fans immediately got worried that the release of "Fifty Shades Darker" will be delayed because casting and filming has not yet commenced.

In the past, Dakota Johnson said that the production for the sequel will begin early next year. This gives James, Leonard and Foley ample time to discuss and agree on the direction that they want to take for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.

The film will also feature new characters Mrs. Robinson, John Flynn and Leila Williams. Each of the three characters will play an important role in the movie.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
