At the start of season 9 of "The Big Bang Theory" Theory, Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) are officially over and since then, it's been so hard to accept it because even if their relationship was kind of eccentric, we all have to admit they were so cute and hilarious together.
Each of them try their best to handle the breakup for example Sheldon spending more time with his friends Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) while Amy try cheer up in the company of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). However it is hard to keep fans from forming their own hypothesis on the destiny of Amy and Sheldon's relationship.
Some fans think that Amy will date other guys based on what Mayim Bialik has said during an interview with E!Online. The funny actress told E! , "I'm asked a lot, who would I like Amy to go out with, and we actually have some very interesting stuff coming up in that arena." She did not further elaborate what was meant by "interesting" stuff but it looks like it could be something or someone that would get under Sheldon's skin.
In line with this, some fans think that Sheldon will continue to pursue Amy. As we have seen in the first few episodes of season 9, it was obvious that Sheldon has not gotten over the fact that his relationship with Amy has already ended. He has been trying to get Amy's attention but not always in a positive way like he did when he did "Fun with Flags" during the last episode. On the other hand, according to Design and Trend there is also a possibility that Sheldon will grow tired of pursuing Amy and will begin seeing other women.
Lastly, and what everybody hopes would happen, Sheldon and Amy will get back together. Amy and Sheldon complement each other even when they fight, according Design and Trend. This is most likely to happen based on what "The Big Bang Theory" Showrunner Steve Molaro said in an interview with The Hollywood Reported. He teased, "I don't know exactly what's going to happen but he's clearly fond of her. I don't think they're done speaking by any means. He's so fond of her - something is going to happen between them, I'm sure."
The only way to find out if Amy and Sheldon will get back together is to watch The Big Bang Theory" season 9 which every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
