Berkshire Hathaway Aims for Luxury Properties

Berkshire Hathaway is targeting luxury homes market in Northeast Florida.

The Swisher San Marco estate in Jacksonville is one of Northeast Florida's prime luxury properties placed in the market. It was built in 1929 by Swisher Cigars founder John Swisher who decided to have his dream home built overlooking the St. Johns River.

According to St. Augustine.com, the beautiful mansion was designed by Marsh and Saxelbye architects. It has four suites with six and a half bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a boathouse on the river. This one of a kind estate that covers more than 10,000 square feet in Duval County is among the biggest single-family owned properties that recently got sold in the area by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty. The property was bought with a $4.2 million price tag.

In the same report by St. Augustine, founder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Linda Sherrer, said, "The key to our continuing success is the dedication and professionalism of our incredible sales team paired with a brand that commands respect in the luxury sector. We have the marketing network and established relationships in place to reach buyers of luxury real estate throughout the world."

It is noted in the report that, Bershire Hathaway is Northeast Florida's top provider of luxury real estate. It has the biggest market share of listings and on average the properties they sell command rates from $500,000 and more.

Meanwhile, according to The Ridgefield Press, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England properties was awarded the Top Workplace in the large category by Hartford Courant and Fox CT for the third straight year. Candace Adams, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England and Westchester Properties said, "Our goal is to provide the tools and support needed for individual success while inspiring passion in every employee."
