'Dance Moms' Star Maddie Ziegler Joins 'The Book Of Henry'; Production Starts In New York City

"Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler is the newest addition to Colin Trevorrow's upcoming drama, "The Book of Henry." The 13-year-old dancer will join "Saturday Night Live" cast member Bobby Moynihan in the upcoming feature.

According to Variety, the cast of "The Book of Henry" also includes Naomi Watts, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Jacob Tremblay, Dean Norris, Jaeden Lieberher and more.

Watts is set to play the role of a single mother who is tasked to take care of her two boys. One of her sons is a genius. Meanwhile, Treverrow recently confirmed the three youngest cast members of "The Book of Henry" on Twitter.

"Casting is everything. @jaedenlieberher @maddieziegler @jacobtremblay," he wrote.

Just recently, it was also confirmed that Ziegler will headline Sia's upcoming movie "Sister."

In an interview with Teen Vogue, the ALDC dancer said that she also wants to focus on acting because she wants to be a triple threat in the industry.

"I really want to focus on acting and even sing a little bit so I can be a triple threat," she said.

It seems that Ziegler's dreams are slowly coming true because just this year, she already booked two films.

During her interview with the publication, Ziegler said that she's happy that she sometimes doesn't have to audition because a lot of people already know that she can be trusted with jobs.

"It's cool that I get to work without being asked to audition. I feel like people trust me and believe I'm capable of putting in the work," she said.

Ziegler will also appear on "Dance Moms" Season 6 despite rumors that she has chosen to leave the hit Lifetime reality TV show. Some fans thought that Ziegler's new-found fame will cause her to leave not only the series but also the ALDC elite junior team.

"Dance Moms" Season 6 will premiere on Lifetime next year.
