Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Selling L.A. Home for $45 Million after Divorce

Estranged celebrity couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, has now made their Pacific Palisades home in Los Angeles available for sale after going separate ways last June, writes Mark David in today's edition of Mirror.

Reports have it as well that the two have commissioned the services of one of L.A.'s top brokers to have their sprawling property on the market with an asking price of $45 million.

In a separate article which David wrote in Variety, the property is described to be on a three-acre private compound which overlooks Sullivan Canyon, and is enclosed in a long, gated and tree-lined driveway. Its main house, which measures 8,800 square feet, has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Extensive renovations were made through the years by Affleck and Garner, with an expansive secondary structure now housing an art studio, a gym, an office and two bathrooms. A spacious guesthouse also contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a state-of-the art screening room and an entertainment lounge. Other amenities of the estate include a canyon-view terrace, a half-court basketball court, a soccer-pitch-sized lawn, plus a swimming pool with an open-air cabana.

The ranch-style, multi-winged abode was built and created in the late 1930s by acclaimed architect Cliff May, with another Hollywood star, Gregory Peck, being one of its owners from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. In 1992, it was acquired by producer Brian Grazer who listed the property for $27 million, but eventually sold it to the controversial couple in March 2009 for $17.55 million.

A Platinum Triangle real estate insider leaked that businessman Lachlan Murdoch has already seen the place, but no offer has been made yet.

The two celebrities announced to end their ten-year marriage after people close to Garner said that allegations of infidelity created an impact on their relationship, which Affleck vehemently denied. In 2013, there were reference to troubles in their marriage, but no sign of separation was seen yet at that time.
