The "Attack On Titan: Junior High" Episode 1 anime review gets a thumbs up from critics. Despite the negative criticism that bombards the two live-action movies, the spinoff anime series has been well-received by avid fans of "AoT." The "Attack On Titan: Junior High" might not be similar to the "AoT" anime's plot- the adventure of Eren Yaeger and his friends in fighting back the flesh-eating titans, but still fans of the post-apocalyptic anime adaptation of "AoT." Fandom Post says that spin off anime series "gives us a glimpse into the average school year for each and every one of them. Instead of fearing for their lives, the characters are fearing for their lunches as the titans have a brand new appetite." The characters are still based from the manga series but it does not follow the dark fantasy genre. The "Junior High" is presented in a "lighthearted comedic format that is sure to bring a smile to your face."

The critic's review for "Attack On Titan: Junior High" Episode 1 reveals that it is an absolute must for fans to watch the spinoff anime series. It says that there is no dull moment in the first episode, from beginning to end. The dialogue is noted to be "witty with splashes of subtle humor set there to increase enjoyment even more for those that catch it." Fans would really enjoy each moment watching the anime series. But if this is the first time that you watch "AoT," then you would not appreciate the show, you might not find it hilarious.
