"Both Google and Apple have followed Microsoft's lead creating the 2-in-1 category and this event will reveal how Microsoft one-ups the companies who recently launched the Pixel C and the iPad Pro," said Patrick Moorhead, an analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, according to ABC News

Three new Windows phones will be launched that includes Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and the Lumia 550. The new devices will have 5.2-inch, 5.7-inch, and 4.7-inch screens respectively. Hints of a Surface-branded smart phone, which is more premium than the Lumia series, might also be released but that is a rumor since 2012 and the possibility is low, Gizmodo reported.

A new Surface tablet which is more powerful than the recently released 12-inch Surface Pro 3 is said to be launched on the event. The Surface Pro 4 will have a nearly bezel-less appearance, quad-HD display and better pressure-sensitive pen technology which Microsoft bought from Ntrig, PC Mag reported.
