'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' Spoilers & Cast News: Theo James & Shailene Woodley Share Their Experiences During Production

"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" co-stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley recently shared their thoughts on what it was like filming their scenes in the movie.

According to Venture Capital Post, Woodley and James can't help but praise each other for giving justice to their roles in the film.

Meanwhile, book author Veronica Roth recently revealed that there will be huge changes from the novel to the movie. Other than the film's title which was previously called "Allegiant - Part 1," fans can also expect more intense scenes in the movie.

However, one thing that will not be changed is the story's ending. In the book, Tris died after saving the world. Roth revealed that Woodley's character will eventually die in the movie.

In an interview with MTV News, Roth explained, "Well, it's actually been set up that way. At the end of the first book, she almost experiences death. She's in that water tank. She gets saved at the last second by her mother. At the end of the book, she kind of plays with the idea of self-sacrifice by letting Tobias almost kill her."

Roth added that she spoke with Woodley about her character's fate, and the actress was more than willing to be killed off. According to Roth, Woodley understood that Tris' death was necessary for the character's development. Roth added that it would be weird to see Tris survive after everything that has happened to her in the three installments.

In other news, the filming for "The Divergent Series: Ascendant" will begin in the next few months. This means that fans can expect to receive more updates regarding Woodley and James during their production. The last two films also star Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz and Ansel Elgort.

"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Mar. 18, 2016.
