'Penny Dreadful' Season 3 Updates: Three Things Fans Hope to Be Answered

"Penny Dreadful" is said to return to the small screen in 2016. The impatient fans are said to be hopeful that three things will be answered in the next season.

First of all, fans want an explanation on how Ethan became a werewolf. According to Fashion N Style, while it was thrilling that Vanessa Ives had learned that Ethan was a werewolf, because of a family curse by any chance, in the finale of "Penny Dreadful" season two it would be nice if season three would explore on how he became one such as the possibility that it has something to do with the hundreds of Native Americans he murdered while working for the U.S. government.

Secondly, "Penny Dreadful" fans are eager to know why Ethan's father want him to come home. According to Fashion N Style, Ethan has been running from his father throughout the two previous seasons and has avoided talking about the past. With Ethan's confession to the murder at the Mariner's Inn and being asked to come back to America to face his father, the viewer are hoping that this will shed some light into how he became a werewolf.

Lastly, it has been reported that Patti LuPone will be part of season three cast. According to Variety, LuPone was introduced in the second season of "Penny Dreadful" as Joan Clayton (aka the Cut-Wife). The Cut-Wife died in season two but with the same actress returning to season three as Dr. Seward, fans are dying two know if it the Cut-Wife has faked her death and return as Dr. Seward to help Vanessa use her power to overthrow Lucifer and Dracula.

Those scenarios are likely to happen but they are still mere speculations. For now two things seem certain for "Penny Dreadful" season three. One is that Patti LuPone will indeed be a season three regular and that it will return to Showtime sometime 2016.
