'Orphan Black' Season 4 Release Date & Spoilers: Beth to Play a Major Role? Terrifying New Direction Of The Show Revealed

It was revealed that the production of "Orphan Black" Season 4 has already started, and BBC has also released the official synopsis of the new season.

According to MNR Daily, it was May of this year when BBC America in the United States and Space in Canada gave the confirmation of the renewal of "Orphan Black." It was confirmed that Season 4 will have 10 episodes, and it is expected to be released by spring of 2016.

According to the site, recent reports reveal that the show will be approaching a "horrifying new direction," and this can be seen in the synopsis that was released earlier.

Screen Rant reports that the official synopsis for Season 4 reveals that the leader of the pack, Sarah, the central character of the show played by Tatiana Maslany, will be returning to her home, in the isolation of the Icelandic hideout. She is reportedly on a mission to track down someone who is supposed to be her ally, and the person was described as someone who is "elusive and mysterious."

It was also revealed that Sarah will be facing a new enemy, which will force her to resort back to her old ways. This will also result in Sarah being estranged from her personal relationships. Aside from that, it was also revealed in the synopsis that Beth will play a major role in the upcoming season.

During the recently held Emmy Awards, Maslany was asked about the upcoming new season of the show. However, Maslany did not reveal anything yet and only thanked the fans for their continued support for the show.

Aside from Maslany, Season 4 will also feature some of the returning characters like Jordan Gavaris as Felix, Kristian Bruun as Donnie, Kevin Hanchard as Art, Josh Vokey as Scott,  Kristian Bruun as Donnie and Skyler Wexler as Kira.
