Lloyd Wright-Designed Home Hits Market $4.5 Million

The Lloyd Wright-designed 1928 Samuel Novarro estate in Los Feliz has been listed for $4.495 million. The house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's son and has had several celebrity owners including Diane Keaton and Christina Ricci.

The house was first listed at $4.195 million in November 2011, bBut after sitting on the market for six months without securing a buyer, the listing was removed. Now, less than a year later, the historic property is for sale again with an even bigger price tag of $4.49 million.

This property, located at 2255 Verde Oak Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068, was named after its first two residents.

According to Curbed, actor Ramon Novarro's assistant, Louis Samuel, originally commissioned the home, however the title was eventually transferred to Novarro. The home was subsequently rented to composer Leonard Bernstein in the 1940s, owned by Diane Keaton in the 1990s and owned by Christina Ricci in 2005. She sold the property a year later to its current owner for $2.8275 million.

The current listing describes the home as "a beacon for enthusiasts who appreciate art, architecture and history."  There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms, sleek concrete floors, dramatic windows, period Lloyd Wright details, a perfect indoor/outdoor flow, a swimmers pool, landscaped gardens, and terraces.
