'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers: Sophie Turner will Play as Brianna and Sam Heughan Thinks it's an Excellent Choice

There are rumors that Sophie Turner is being eyed to play Brianna for the upcoming 'Outlander' Season 2. The rumors started to circulate after Sam Hueghan floated the idea by reposting a message from the Anglophile Channel, which said: "If she was not so busy with #GameOfThrones, would Sophie Turner make a good #BriannaFraser? She is so striking!"

According to Vine Report, Turner plays the oldest daughter of Stark as Sansa Stark, in HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's 'Game of Thrones' series. On the other hand, Brianna is a character in Diana Gabaldon's 'Outlander' saga on which the series of the same named is based. 'Outlander' Season 2 will focus on the events of the second book series, "Dragonfly in Amber.''

It has been reported in Season 2 that the characters of Lord John Grey and Roger Wakefield MacKenzie will be introduced to the story.

It was also revealed that the production will be set in locations like Scotland, Glasgow, Prague and Czech Republic.

'Outlander' Season 2 will be difficult for Jamie who was abused, branded and raped at the end of Season 1. Together with Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe), they both escaped the country. They then went to France, and Claire revealed there that she was pregnant. According to Sam Heughan, that announcement saved Jamie's life, and viewers will see that in Season 2.

IB Times reported that Hueghan told Variety about Season 2, saying, "It's all about Claire, really, because she has given him a purpose and a reason.'' The actor went on to say that, "It's all in a state of flux now that she's pregnant as well - he has that responsibility and that excitement and fear.''

The couple needs a strong relationship to get through in Season 2. They want to change history and will spend a large part of the next season there, but they don't know the country the way they know Scotland. A culture shock may be experienced for both the characters and the viewers.
