Current MacBooks are getting price cuts and deals attractive to the consumers. With this, many have begun speculating that the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 will be released very soon.

According to Yibada.com, during Best Buy's two-day sale, the retailer slashed $200 off the price of the 13.3-inch (Intel i5/4GB/128GB) MacBook. It was previously priced at $999.99 before the two-day sale. At the same time Best Buy was also selling the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro Retina with 8GB memory for $1,099 and it is also $200.99 off from the it original price of $1,299.99 during the sale. Aside from the Apple laptops, selected iMac computers and iPad Mini 3s also got big discounts.

Yibada.com said that was not the first time the Apple gadgets received great discounts. With other retailers, the MacBooks reportedly were sold at around $300 to $600 less than their original prices. Because of these price cuts many have theorized that the new MacBook Air and Pro along with the rumored iPad Air 3 will be released next month. But there are those who believe that these newer gadgets will arrive next month so that Apple will be able to maximize profits from the current MacBooks.

Regardless of when the MacBooks are expected to arrive, it has been reported that the rumored MacBook Air 2016 will have specs that are considered a big leap from the current ones. According to Latinos Post, there will be two versions, one with a 13-inch and 15-inch display respectively. It is also rumored to have Intel Skylake-U processor, Force Touch technology, enhanced battery life, Type-C USB support, the OS X El Capitan and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 graphics card. But just like the speculated release dates these specs are yet to be confirmed by Apple.

Do you think that the release dates will be very soon based on how frequent the MacBooks now are getting discounts?
