‘Sailor Moon Crystal’ Anime Updates: Series Gets 3rd Season Which Adapts The ‘Death Busters Arcs’ and 'Gathering of 10 Senshi'

"Sailor Moon Crystal" anime series gets a 3rd season run. According to the news, the third phase of the anime series will adapt the "Death Busters Arc" including the gathering of 10 Senshi.

Crunchyroll reports that the Japanese TV broadcast "Sailor Moon Crystal," which has been launched last April, has aired its season finale today. The last episode has wrapped the "Dark Mon Arc" in its Niconico web run, and then an official announcement has followed after its finale run stating that Naoko Takeuchi's infulential manga will continue its anime adaptation. The 3rd season will be back and it would adapt the "Death Busters Arcs" which features Sailor Neptune, Sailor Saturn, and Sailor Uranus. If remembered, the "Death Buster storyline is also being featured in the "Un Nouveau Voyage" musical, which moves to Osaka on October 2nd." In addition, the upcoming season also promises to have the gathering of the 10 Senshi.

The Anime News Network also states that the production of the third season of "Sailor Moon Crystal" is already underway. Fans are promised to see their favorite characters like Sailor Chibi Moon aside from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Saturn, and Sailor Uranus. Reports also says that the 3rd season will adapt the 5th and 6th volumes of the original Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga.

To add, Kotono Mitsuishi will be returning to reprise her role as Sailor Moon. Other voice actors that are casted for the anime series are "Ami Koshimizu as Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter, Hisako Kanemoto as Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury, Shizuka Itou as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus, and Rina Satou as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars."

It is also reported that "Sailor Moon Crystal" will be streamed via Crunchyroll, Huu, Niconico, and other streaming services overseas. For its release in North America, Viz Media has its license for distribution.

Aside from inspiring an anime incarnation, "Sailor Moon Crystal" also had spawned a number of "feature films and theatrical shorts." In fact, the series of stage musicals started in 1993 and ended in 2005. Then, "a new all-female musical production helped launched the franchise's 20th anniversary in 2013." The 3rd musical wrapped its current revival last Sunday.
