Top Must-Have Real Estate Mobile Apps

Technology has taken over most parts of our lives. Imagining a life without automation or machines has become impossible. With every passing day, we are growing more dependent on technology.

The tech revolution has not spared any field, including real estate. In a recent report compiled jointly by Google and the National Association of Realtors (NAR), it was observed that online real estate searches on Google went up 243 percent in the past four years.

Searching for homes, listings, availabilities and even selling properties has become a lot easier these days. Major companies have introduced on-the-go apps, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere; given you have a stable internet network.

Hundredstories.com has compiled a list of the best real estate apps of 2013. Here is the list:

House Hunter

The House Hunter app enables the user to search and rate homes based on neighborhoods, area, interior and exterior features and other miscellaneous characteristics. The downloading charge for the app is around $3.99. However, they also have a free version called the "House Hunter Lite". The Lite version does not offer the wide range of search ability that the paid version does. The App works with all Apple products only.

Zillow

The Zillow's real estate app recently won the 2013 Appy Award in the category of "Best search Tools". The Zillow app helps a user search for properties, offering detailed map locations and property history as well. One can also view pre-market properties and recently sold homes. They also have a feature called "Zestimate," which enables one to calculate the mortgage rates on a particular house using current interest rates. The App is free of cost and is available for iOS, Android, Blackberry OS and Windows as well.

Trulia

The Trulia app is a very user friendly, simple and smart app, which helps the user find homes using a GPS backed interactive map. It also provides information on current listings, open houses, rental listings and sold homes in the user's area. The app also notifies the users on price drops or hikes of their favourite properties and new listings in the neighborhood as well. This app is also free and works well with iOS and Android and Windows 8.

Craigslist's c.PRO

Craigslist's c.PRO app has been called better than its website by The New York Times. The app helps users search for homes using a map browser. It helps conduct multi-city searches and offers exclusive services like account management and new match alerts as well. Photo viewing is also very convenient in the app. The App is available for Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows.

Realtor

The Realtor app helps users find custom homes with an area highlighter. One can access information about the listings, rentals, prices, features and every other aspect that completes a home search. One can also create private notes and ratings for properties and share it with friends and family. The app is free and works well with iOS, Windows, Android and Blackberry.

Some new and interesting apps have also started pouring into the app market. Recently, MagicPlan 3.0, a floor plan capturing app joined the vast sea of real estate apps. The app uses sensor fusion, reality capturing technology and augmented reality to draw up a floor plan. Floor plan measuring can be a tedious task, using measuring tape and running around the house to check its stats. However, MagicPlan draws it up in minutes.
