America's Sweetheart Meg Ryan is reportedly going through a financial and emotional crisis. The 53-year-old actress has allegedly been dumped by rocker John Mellencamp for supermodel Christie Brinkley and has been having a hard time landing roles and scoring projects. Meg Ryan may have been the most-sought after actress in the 90's with her breakthrough performances in movies like "Sleepless in Seattle," "You've Got Mail," "City of Angels" and "When Harry Met Sally." However, a new report from The Star (via Celeb Dirty Laundry) stated that Ryan is financially broke and is having a hard time scoring movie roles and projects.
Ryan is reportedly "desperate" to land roles in movies that she has asked her former co-star Tom Hanks to help her produce and star in her movie, "Ithaca."
"She's making almost no money... she can't keep up this lifestyle. It's embarrassing," the source said.
The outlet cited an unnamed flight attendant, who has allegedly served the "Top Gun" actress on board. According to the insider, Ryan was "drunk and difficult" and had extreme demands. Flight attendants would reportedly have to flip coins as to which one of them would have to attend to the actress' demands.
Not only was Ryan facing financial problems, but she is also going through some emotional problems, too. According to Starpulse, Ryan was reportedly furious and humiliated after finding out that her boyfriend, John Mellencamp was seen with supermodel Christie Brinkley.
According to the outlet, Ryan found out about Mellencamp and Brinkley when photos of them having dinner together on Sept. 14 at the Bowery Hotel in New York were released on the Internet.
"Meg was shocked when she found out John was dating Christie. She broke down and cried, 'I'm so humiliated! We were talking marriage!,'" the insider shared.
Ryan and Mellencamp began dating in 2010 and were separated in 2014. The couple was back together in March this year but called it off after three months.
