Nexus 5X vs Moto X Pure Edition: Motorola Phone Customizable, Nexus 5X Runs on New Android OS

The Moto X Pure Edition is already out in the market while the Nexus 5X is bound to be launched on Sept. 29. Both are promising Android phones especially that the two phones run on Snapdragon hexacore processor and both has 3GB RAM.

While they both use Android as operating system, Nexus will be the first device to run Google’s latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow while Moto X Pure runs on Android Lollipop 5.0.

The Nexus 5X probably will have a 5.2-inch screen and the Moto X Pure has a 5.7-inch screen. The Nexus phone measures 146.9x72.9x8/9.8mm while Pure has dimensions of 153.9x76.2x6.1/11.06mm.

Moto X Pure has a hexacore 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, which would be perfect for an average user while the Nexus 5X is rumored to have the same chip, but maybe with the newer Snapdragon 820.

In terms of camera, Moto X Pure beats Nexus 5X with its 21-megapixel camera while the other only has 13 megapixels. Apart from that, you can store more photos on the Motorola phone since it has three variants of internal storage -- 16GB/32GB/64GB and you can add a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. The Nexus 5X will be available in 16GB/32GB, without an SD slot.

If you want to customize your phone, Moto X Pure will be perfect for you since it is available in many combinations and you can change the trim, the backing, the front, accents, greetings, engravings, and even order a SIM card for your carrier of choice, Classicalite reported. Meanwhile, the Nexus 5X is just very limited.

Moto X is priced at $399.99, which is a good price for a smart phone. Meanwhile, it is rumored that the upcoming Nexus 5X device made by LG, which will be released during the Google's Nexus event, will also be priced the same, PC Advisor reported.
