Celebrity Real Estate: Bucks Guard Michael Carter-Williams Buys Lavish Home in Milwaukee

The 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year, Michael Carter-Williams, who was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this year, bought a lavish home in Milwaukee last month. Bucks Guard Michael Carter paid $1.65 million for the 9,900 square feet house, which has five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. The Tudor-style home sits on a half-acre property in the village of River Hills. It was on the market for six months.

The high-scoring guard had his debut in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, but now he will be seen playing with the Bucks squad. Signed through 2017, Michael Carter is making himself at home with an in-ground pool (with a diving board), a game room, wine cellar, guesthouse, workshop, and see-through fireplace.

According to Realtor, Michael's purchase of this lavish pad, which blends with modern comforts, makes him a resident of Wisconsin. The asking price of $1.95 million for the 10-year-old property was shaved off by $300,000.

When Michael Carter was traded to the Bucks last season, his field goal percentage increased considerably. He shot .429 with the Bucks compared to .380 with the Philadelphia 76ers. After becoming a Buck, Michael Carter started taking smarter shots.

While he no longer faces the burden of expectations he had in Philadelphia, Michael is still going to be expected to do a solid game at the very least. His improved field goal percentage with the Bucks is a promising sign of upcoming development. After spending time working with Bucks staff and head coach Jason Kidd, we will see how he will still improved.

Uproxx said that Michael Carter's time with the Milwaukee Bucks may be a crucial year for him. It's the moment for him to show that he's really going to be a quality NBA starting point guard. For the sake of the long-suffering Bucks fans which, finally, will have a team to be excited for, let's hope the team is going to show something with the help of Michael Carter-Williams.
